Police officers around the region are seeking to establish a legislative framework that would improve police welfare of police officers. Senior Police Officer and also the President of the Caribbean Federation of the Police Welfare Association, Anand Ramser indicated associations throughout the Caribbean will engage in campaigns to ensure that at the policy level, more is being done for police officers in the area of welfare. The Caribbean Federation of Police Welfare Associations (CFPWA) began the three-day meeting here, with standardized working conditions for police officers among the agenda items down for discussion.

After years of negotiating with local businessman Bryan Daher, regional supermarket giant Massy Stores has set up shop in the south western constituency.
