Windies Preparation for World Cup Starts with T20 Series against New Zealand

With the International Cricket Council’s ICC T 20 World Cup competition shifted to next year, West Indies head coach, Phil Simmons, sees the upcoming T20 I series against New Zealand as an opportunity for players to push for spots in the squad. Simmons reiterated that preparation for the World Cup will start with this coming series.  As far as he is concerned, it was just about maintaining the plans they had set out at the start of the year which will benefit a number of players on tour since they will have a chance to vie for spots in the World Cup side. West Indies is scheduled to play their first T20 International against New Zealand on November 27th.
