Marijuana decriminalization and creating parity between local and foreign investors are among the many of the Saint Lucia Labour Party’s plans should they be returned to office. As the journey to 2021 appears to have started, the SLP’s political leader Philip J Pierre articulated his party’ policy agenda. The Labour Party held the open session of its annual conference of delegates Sunday at the Laborie Boys’ School. Senior Political Correspondent Miguel Fevrier was in attendance and as he reports, the Castries East MP came firing on all cylinders- with a few quotable salvos thrown at his opponents.

Woman says she was falsely accused of breaking quarantine.

A Darling Road woman was placed at a government quarantine facility for allegedly breaching the terms of her home quarantine. The woman denies the allegation, telling Prime she was falsely accused. And as we learn in this Miguel Fevrier report, none of the associated government departments have accepted responsibility for the detention.
