As discussions surrounding the future of Carnival on island remain ongoing, one point of consideration is the manner in which mass crowd events will be impacted by the COVID 19 pandemic. Notably the islands largest event of mass participation, Carnival celebrations have been suspended for two years for this very reason. According to one stakeholder, structure and access are key areas expected to be determined, with oversight by the Ministry of Health.
