SAINT LUCIA NO CLOSER TO POPULATION IMMUNITY AFTER 12 MONTHS OF VACCINE AVAILABILITY

After more than a year since the first COVID vaccines were introduced to the global population, an increasing number of North American and European countries have begun loosening COVID-19 restrictions. Saint Lucia at the current vaccination rate however, is still years behind the WHO’s evolving population immunity target of 70%. To mark the one year anniversary of Saint Lucia’s domestic COVID-19 vaccination drive, the Health Ministry is again appealing to the island’s unvaccinated population to take the jabs.
