The tragic death of 36 year old Botham Jean has sparked a variety of emotions – anger, fear, disgust, sadness…you name it. But the race relations issue in the United States, while an age old problem, may have finally evoked a reaction from Caribbean leaders. OECS Director General Dr. Didacus Jules spoke with Miguel Fevrier during Tuesday night’s candlelight vigil to mourn the passing of the promising son of the soil. He says the OECS Commission has been and will continue to monitor the progress of the police investigation.

Relatives of a two year old girl whose death is being investigated as a “suspicious” was said to be in the care of a man alleged to be her father. The child was rushed to St. Jude hospital on Tuesday February 9th after she collapsed at a home at Anse Ger, Desruisseaux.
