It’s been one year since Barbadian businessman Mark Maloney was given a $7.3 million dollar direct award by the former Chastanet led Administration to buy COVID-19 vaccines on Saint Lucia’s behalf. Maloney’s company allegedly fell victim to American fraudsters and has failed to deliver a single dose. He’s since returned about $2 million to the government. However, Prime Minister Philip J Pierre says more than $5 million is still outstanding some 12 months later.
