On Monday, senior news correspondent for political affairs Miguel Fevrier sat down with Pastor Daniel “Dada” Odunayo of the redeemed Christian Church of God on Jeremie Street. This was supposed to be a straightforward interview about one of the church’s upcoming initiatives, but our ever-so-inquisitive correspondent sought answers from the clergyman on a number of other issues. In the first of a series of feature stories coming out of the sit-down, pastor Dada shares his views on the role of the church in the governance of a country. And for him, there’s nothing wrong with the church speaking out on issues of political significance.
