Manchester United’s postponed home Premier League match with Liverpool has been rearranged for Thursday, 13 May. The decision means United must play two games in the space of 50 hours as their home game against Leicester has been moved forward a day to Tuesday, 11 May. Liverpool’s game at West Brom, which was thought might be moved to accommodate the fixture, will remain as scheduled on Sunday, 16 May. As such, Manchester United will play a total of 4 games in just 8 days.

WHEREAS WE HAVE SEEN GLOBAL SPORT RETURNING, IT’S BEEN SLOW GOING IN MANY PLACES.

BUT SOME COACHES AND ATHLETES ARE FINDING WAYS TO COPE IN DIFFICULT TIMES.

COACH RON BLANCHARD SAYS THAT BECAUSE OF ITS LOW CONTACT, THE SPORT OF TENNIS HAS BEEN ABLE TO CONTINUE THROUGHOUT THE RECENT MONTHS.

MEANWHILE, SWIM COACH DAVID PETERKIN TOLD MBC SPORTS THAT THE ABSENCE OF COMPETITION HAS BEEN A BIG ISSUE FOR ATHLETES.

HE WENT ON TO SAY, HOWEVER, THAT IT’S MORE IMPORTANT THAN EVER FOR COACHES AND PARENTS TO FOCUS ON MENTAL FITNESS AT THIS TIME.

THE NATIONAL ASSOCIATION OF INTERCOLLEGIATE ATHLETICS HELD ITS 2021 AWARDS DAY ON WEDNESDAY.

THE MID-AMERICA CHRISTIAN WOMEN’S SOCCER TEAM BOASTED THE HIGHEST GPA OF ALL OF THE SCHOOL’S PROGRAMS, TURNING IN A 3.75 TEAM GRADE-POINT AVERAGE, THE EIGHTH-HIGHEST OF ALL OF THE WOMEN’S SOCCER TEAMS IN THE NAIA.

SYLVIE WILLIE WAS ONE OF 60 EVANGELS STUDENT-ATHLETES TO GARNER SCHOLAR-ATHLETE HONORS.

DURING THE 2020-21 SEASON, THE MACU WOMEN’S SOCCER TEAM PUT TOGETHER ITS BEST WINNING PERCENTAGE SINCE THE PROGRAM’S INCEPTION, ENDING THE YEAR WITH A 15-3 OVERALL RECORD AND FINISHED SECOND IN THE SOONER ATHLETIC CONFERENCE WITH AN 8-1 MARK.
