Lucky escape driver unhurt after car goes up in flames on busy Barre D’isle Road

A car went up in flames on the Barre D’isle with fire crews called to the scene. On-lookers captured the shocking scene as smoke billowed from the car. Motorists took to social media to warn traffic had been brought to a ‘standstill’. Emergency services received a call at around 3:42pm on Monday August 15th. Fire fighters were called to extinguish the blaze after the vehicle caught fire on the hard shoulder.
