The Earl and Countess of Wessex, Queen Elizabeth’s youngest son and his wife, will be based in Saint Lucia for a six day tour of Britain’s former Eastern Caribbean colonies. During that time the National Reparation’s Committee hopes to directly engage with the Royals to issue a reminder on outstanding reparation payments. However, the British government and Monarchy to date, has not publicly committed to compensating its former colonies for its role in the transatlantic slave trade.
