LOCAL DOCTOR FACING DISCIPLINARY ACTION FOR “NEGLIGENT” IVERMECTIN PRESCRIPTIONS

Dr. Gilbertha St. Rose, a prominent proponent of Ivermectin, a drug used to kill parasites in animals and humans, stands accused by the Medical and Dental Council of “professional misconduct” for allegedly prescribing the drug to her patients to treat COVID-19. International public health regulators discourage the use of Ivermectin as a viable treatment option for COVID-19 infections. Dr. St. Rose has been summoned to a hearing to respond to the complaint lodged by the Medical and Dental Council. She could be barred from legally practicing medicine in Saint Lucia if the Council deems her alleged Ivermectin prescriptions were negligent.
