GOV’T INTERVENES IN BEACH ACCESS CONTROVERSY

The Ministry of Tourism has put Soufriere hotel operators on notice – “…under no circumstances…” should the public be denied beach access. MBC Prime obtained correspondence from the Tourism Ministry addressed to the Saint Lucia Hotel and Tourism Association over complaints locals and tourists were illegally refused beach access by hotel workers. Properties situated along the Anse Chastanet, Jalousie and Anse Mamin beaches have been notified and advised to discourage to the practice.
