Veteran Attorney at Law, Kenneth Monplaisir has paid tribute to the late Marcus Foster, asserting that Saint Lucia has lost a brilliant son. Known to many as Harry and Olay, he passed away here Tuesday morning, Sept. 4 shortly before 8 am according to relatives. He was 54. According to Foster’s profile, he was the proprietor of Marcus-Peter Foster & Associates from November 1992 to present and graduated from Hugh Wooding Law School in 1989. Senior News Correspondent Cecile Actille reports.

Vacationing doctors, nurses and other public health workers have been ordered back to work by the Ministry of Health. The directive from the Health Ministry’s Permanent Secretary comes amid a rapid third wave surge in COVID-19 infections. More than 380 new cases which include four COVID-19 related deaths have been confirmed this month. President of the Saint Lucia Medical and Dental Association Dr. Merle Clarke who backs the decision says the island’s doctors and nurses are “ready to deal with the surge”.
