Just in case you’re wondering, the Folk Research Centre will remain at Morne Pleasant. This was disclosed to MBC Prime by Executive Director Hilary La Force Thursday, who spoke on the ongoing Creole Heritage Month Celebrations and the moves to rebuild the FRC’s home. A late night fire in March of this year completely gutted the building, and in the process destroyed a number of important artifacts and records. Proceeds from activities in observance of Creole Heritage Month, and Jounen Kweyol will go towards the rebuilding process

Relatives of a two year old girl whose death is being investigated as a “suspicious” was said to be in the care of a man alleged to be her father. The child was rushed to St. Jude hospital on Tuesday February 9th after she collapsed at a home at Anse Ger, Desruisseaux.
