FEMALE PREDSTRIAN STRUCK BY VEHICLE

A Mid Morning collision has left one woman nursing injuries, after being struck by a motor vehicle in the community of Balata.
According to EMS Manager within the Saint Lucia Fire Service Officer Fernando James, Emergency officers responding to the scene discovered the injured female prone and complaining of pain to the body.

Stressing the need for maintaining vigilance while traversing the islands roads, the Officer James highlighted the month long observance of Road Safety Month, noting that several practices can be undertaken to increase the likelihood of safety for pedestrians, and motorists.

Royal Saint Lucia Police Traffic Department investigating Road Fatality

The Royal Saint Lucia Police Traffic Department is investigating a motorcycle collision in which a man lost his life. The deceased has been identified as Aaron St Rose, 37 resident of Vieux Fort.
The incident occurred on the Marisule Gros Islet Highway Sunday December 5th.
Emergency personnel from the Gros Islet fire station responded about 2:07 pm.
Reports indicated that two motorcycles collided while travelling in the same direction, and one of the riders lost control.
Reports indicate that he hit a pole and sustained severe injuries.
