One lawyer worries without an immediate intervention from the government, violent prison culture places clinically diagnosed mentally ill inmates directly in harm’s way. Between September 16 and 18, several inmates at the Bordelais Correctional Facility were embroiled in deadly, gang related clashes behind bars. Two inmates were fatally stabbed. Among the dead was 45 year old Kelvin Wilson, an inmate with a history of mental illness.

Two arrested following burglary at Entrepot Secondary School

Police have two suspects in custody in connection with a burglary at the Entrepot Secondary School. An alarm alerted Marchand police officers who responded to the scene where they encountered the three male suspects. Police managed to nab two of the burglars who attempted to scale a nearby fence in an attempt to flee the crime scene. One suspect is still at large according to police reports. The intruders effected their break-in sometimes after 3 am Thursday.
