The European Union’s Global Illicit Flows Programme is providing technical assistance to Saint Lucia’s maritime security agencies and port authorities. Regional security and counter-trafficking experts have been enlisted under the programme’s Seaport Cooperation Project to train up local law enforcement officials on effective tactics to disrupt transatlantic trafficking by organized crime syndicates.
