On the heels of pronouncements highlighting the need for striking balance between development and preservation of natural spaces, potential changes at the seat of Saint Lucia’s most iconic landmark have been brought to a halt. According to Saint Lucia’s Sustainable Development Minister, while an official decision on the most recent undertaking has not been issued, maintaining Saint Lucia’s pitons as a World Heritage site, remains a key priority for the government.
