A US court has brought an end to any possibility of an overturned sentence for Amber Guyger, who received a ten year murder conviction in 2019 for causing the death of Saint Lucian Botham Jean. The decision was taken by the highest criminal court in the state of Texas on Wednesday. Reflecting on the announcement, Alison Jean described the decision as providing a small measure of closure in the process of championing that justice be served.
