Firebrand talk show pundit Christopher Hunte is no longer tied to the courts after a Magistrate on November 11 discontinued proceedings against him more than one year after his arrest for allegedly staging an unlawful protest. The charge brought against Hunte was filed by Police Deputy Wayne Charlery who was the ranking officer in charge on a day when scores of Saint Lucians turned out to express their frustrations against the former Allen Chastanet led Administration last July. With his case closed, Christopher Hunte says he’s mounting another crusade to make sure no one else gets wrongfully arrested for exercising their civil rights.
