NEMO calls for a state of preparedness

NEMO calls for a state of preparedness for any eventuality

The National Emergency Management Office says Tuesday’s tremor is a reminder that the island has to be prepared for any eventuality. Communications Manager at NEMO Kerwin Xavier says that preparedness starts with persons following the nation’s building codes. The Office has confirmed that there were no reported injuries or damage to buildings as a result of Tuesday’s much intense tremor that lasted approximately 60 seconds. Reports are that the quake was felt in several parts of Saint Lucia. Senior News Correspondent Cecile Actille has that story.
