CHASTANET INFAMOUSLY EXITS ESTIMATES DEBATE WITHOUT PARTICIPATING

Opposition Leader and Micoud South MP Allen Chastanet made an early exit from the Lower House during the March 31 debate on the Estimates. Mr. Chastanet was nowhere to be found on the Opposition benches for most of the afternoon session. Because of his departure Mr. Chastanet has attained the unenviable accolade as the first Opposition Leader in Parliamentary history to not contribute to one of the country’s most important legislative processes.
