Bordelais Correctional Facility dispels Rumours of Coronavirus outbreak

The Bordelais Correctional Facility (BCF) has dismissed rumours of suspected coronavirus at the institution. Director, Hilary Herman has confirmed that three inmates have been sent for to Victoria Hospital to undergo COVID 19 tests.

The Allen Chastanet Administration today [September 29] shrugged off appeals from the Saint Lucia Bar Association and recently the Saint Lucia Hotel and Tourism Association for greater consultation on proposed Covid Bill. Despite government’s “successes” with containing the COVID-19 virus, the Prime Minister backed by his Attorney General explained the COVID Bill is pre-emptive and intended to allow authorities to initiate emergency protocols.
