ARE GOV’T OFFICIALS COMPLICIT IN $7.3M VACCINE SCANDAL

The Radical Investment lawsuit filed in a Florida court in the United States has raised questions on Saint Lucia’s due diligence practices. In April, ex-Prime Minister Allen Chastanet issued Radical Investment and its Barbadian ‘principal’ Mark Maloney a $7.3 million-dollar direct award to procure 100,000 COVID-19 vaccines from drug maker AstraZeneca. Weeks before the Radical Investment lawsuit was filed, Mr. Chastanet’s successor Prime Minister Philip J Pierre revealed numerous irregularities were discovered with the multimillion-dollar transaction approved by officials in the Treasury department.
