The Eagle Freight APL T20 Tape Ball Tournament has mushroomed over the last five years. The Tournament boasts of having many current and past national players in its line up as tape ball cricket has given the opportunity for cricketers of all levels to exhibit their skills and talents. As the organizers look to further develop the sport a special Zoom Meeting was held on Thursday 19th June with the aim of commencing planning for the launch of the 2020 Eagle Freight APL T20 Tournament. The meeting realized 25 participants representing the various teams. Addressing the members on the cricket protocols and safety measures were Mr. Carol Henry – President of the SLNCA and Mr. Bernez Khodra – Safety Officer – MOE. Five new teams have registered this year bringing the number of participating teams to 20. A committee was put in place to prepare the protocol plan for the tournament to be approved by the Ministry of Health. With these in place and once the green light is given the competition is expected to bowl off in July. And for further information please contact Mr. Cyrus Cepal at telephone number 730 0051.
